From the moment we met, something just worked. We connected instantly, and it didn’t take long before we realized how special this was.
We laugh constantly—about everything and nothing. Whether we’re making dinner, running errands, or doing absolutely nothing, we always manage to have the best time.
We’re similar in all the right ways and different in ways that balance each other out. Somehow, it just clicks. In our first six months together, we didn’t watch a single show because we were too busy dancing in the kitchen, swimming, exploring new places, and simply soaking up each other’s company.
Our first weekend trip was to Fresno, and from there, everything unfolded naturally.
We love cooking together, we’re perfectly content just being near each other, and no matter what we’re doing, it always feels like home.
One of the most romantic moments we’ve ever shared happened in Hawaii. We were at this stunning restaurant with sweeping views of the ocean and mountains—already unforgettable—but then we discovered a little jungle trail tucked below the main dining area. It looked like something out of a movie: lush, green, quiet, and completely magical.
Just as we were about to explore it, the skies opened up and it started pouring. We hesitated—who wouldn’t?—but then we looked at each other and just knew. Life is too short to stay dry.
So we went. Hand in hand, soaked and laughing, we wandered into the rain and into that jungle. We were drenched within minutes, slipping on stones, hair sticking to our faces, laughing like kids. And somehow, in that wild, silly, beautiful moment, we fell a little more in love—not just with each other, but with the life we were building together.
That night reminded us what our relationship is all about. Even when something feels uncertain, we choose to go for it. To “do it scared.” To say yes, to show up, and to be present—because these moments don’t come around twice.
We were on a romantic getaway filled with incredible food, beach walks, and a fancy hotel room with a hot tub inside. It was one of those weekends where everything felt magical.
On our last day, we decided to go for a hike. The original plan was to make it all the way to the beach, but after about two miles (and realizing how awful the uphill trek back would be), we stopped at this quiet little spot—a bench tucked under a shady tree, overlooking a peaceful creek. It felt like our own secret world.
As we were soaking in the scenery, we noticed two small decorative stones on the ground—one said LOVE and the other said HOPE. He knelt down, pretending to get a closer look… but really, it was just the beginning.
That’s when he looked up at me and said I made him happier than he’d ever been. He told me how much he loved me, how much fun we have together, and how special our time has already been. Then he asked me to be his wife.
I jumped into his arms and said yes—of course yes!—and he gave me the most beautiful ring.
